Enormous thanks to everyone who came along to our Peace Concert on Friday 28th June, the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, and to all who worked so hard to prepare for it. Thanks also to the marvelous musicians and readers from across our community, including Paget High School Choir, The King’s Way Church Burton Ladies Choir, Burton Community Gospel Choir, Tamarisk Parents Choir, and our own Trentside Musicians.
A wonderful evening was had by all. It was fantastic to have so many people from across our community and from so many different churches in Burton coming together to remember the sacrifices made by so many, and to support us in sharing Christ’s message of peace, (and sharing fellowship together for so long after the music had ended to gorge on the most delicious cakes)!
Here is a snapshot of the evening is you missed it.

After nearly a year, our Burton Peace 100 project commemorating the close of the First World War has drawn to a close, but the connections made within our community will continue to strengthen and we will continue to share our vision of hope for a peaceful future.
Thank you to all who have come along to trips, open days, workshops, our holiday club and special services.

Thank you also the the National Lottery Heritage Fund for the funding to make our project possible.
